Project Overview

Blue Water Builders transformed its Elk Grove Village home office into a 32,000-square-foot headquarters designed to bring together its corporate operations, employees, clients, subcontractors, and design partners. Completed in September 2018 and designed by Designhaus, the renovation and expansion created a modern, highly functional workplace that also serves as an interactive showroom for Blue Water's capabilities and building solutions.

The headquarters gives clients an opportunity to experience a variety of acoustical, flooring, ceiling, and integrated lighting systems firsthand, while providing Blue Water's team with a workplace designed to encourage productivity, connection, and collaboration.

Project Highlights

• Complete gut renovation and expansion of the existing office, creating a state-of-the-art corporate headquarters and client experience center.

• Collaborative planning with Designhaus and the Blue Water team to develop spaces and select materials that effectively demonstrate the company's capabilities and expertise.

• Integrated showroom featuring innovative acoustical, flooring, ceiling, and lighting solutions.

• Half-court basketball gym, dedicated fitness area, and comfortable breakroom designed to support employee wellness and create an engaging workplace.

• Client lounge and conference rooms providing flexible spaces for meetings, events, and collaboration.

• Warehouse and equipment areas supporting Blue Water's operations, including a fleet of lifts, floor sweepers, scrubbers, and other specialized equipment.

• Unique design elements, including Blue Water's iconic fire truck, that bring personality and character to the facility.

The completed headquarters reflects Blue Water Builders' approach to business: creating spaces that are functional, innovative, and built around the people who use them. It serves as both a home for the Blue Water team and a place where clients and partners can experience the company's capabilities firsthand.
