Carr Machine is a specialty machine shop specializing in machining parts for the aerospace, semiconductor, automated equipment and defense industries.

Project Overview

Blue Water Builders completed a comprehensive renovation for Carr Machine & Tool, a specialty machine shop serving the aerospace, semiconductor, automated equipment, and defense industries. The 11,100-square-foot project included a 3,400-square-foot Class A office buildout along with a complete modernization of the production space, exterior façade, and building infrastructure.

Project Highlights

• Complete façade renovation under the 6B Façade Renovation Program, including EIFS, ACM metal panels, storefront glass assemblies, landscaping, and exterior painting.

• Full interior demolition to the perimeter walls followed by a complete renovation, including new underground plumbing and electrical systems.

• Class A office buildout featuring glass wall systems, custom acoustical treatments for noise suppression, specialty flooring, paint, and wall coverings.

• Specialized production buildout including heavy-duty equipment pads, full epoxy solids floor coating, electrical power distribution for machine hookups, and compressed air piping throughout the facility.

• Major infrastructure upgrades including a new 6-inch ductile iron water service, new sprinkler system, and access control systems.
  

Through detailed coordination and a comprehensive renovation approach, Blue Water Builders transformed the facility to support the specialized requirements of Carr Machine & Tool's manufacturing operations. From the modernized façade and Class A office space to the highly technical production areas and infrastructure upgrades, every element of the project was designed to enhance functionality, efficiency, and performance while meeting the demands of a high-performance manufacturing environment.
