JAMES MCDONNELL
ESTIMATOR
Jimmy joined Blue Water Builders in February 2026 as an Estimator, bringing experience in estimating, project coordination, and field support within the commercial construction industry.
He began his career in the field as an apprentice electrician, where he developed hands-on experience and a strong understanding of construction methods and practices. This foundation has provided him with practical insight into the complexities of construction projects and field operations.
Since transitioning into estimating, Jimmy has contributed to a variety of commercial projects. His responsibilities include material takeoffs, bid preparation, and coordination, helping to ensure accurate project scope, pricing, and overall project alignment.
In his spare time, Jimmy enjoys attending Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago Cubs games, playing golf, and spending time with his family, particularly spoiling his niece.
