Matt Detjen
PROJECT MANAGER
Matt joined the Blue Water Builders team in January 2023, bringing over 17 years of diverse experience in the construction industry. His journey began as a carpenter prior to college, building a strong foundation across residential, commercial, retail, early childhood, and industrial construction settings.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in Building Construction Management from Purdue University, Matt began his professional career working on high-end residential and historical renovation projects. He later expanded his experience to a wide range of commercial projects, including pharmaceutical facilities, data centers, office tenant improvements, and ground-up buildings across multiple states. His broad construction background and diverse project portfolio reflect his dedication to delivering quality results for clients and supporting his team.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, two children, and their two beloved dogs. An adrenaline enthusiast at heart, he also enjoys riding dirt bikes and ATVs, modifying cars, and working on just about anything with an engine.
